Did I date someone from my High School?
Yes, I had a couple of steady boyfriends - Jared Tanner, Nate Robb. But, when I dated others it was more of a group thing, on & off - Travis Tanner, Ben Drinkwater, Nick McCausland.
What kind of car did I drive?
Believe it or not, a Red Porsche 944. I had a special parking spot on a concrete slab that really wasn't a parking spot at all. I had so many parking tickets by graduation, they actually threatened that I wouldn't get my diploma. I only got the "Boot" once because I flirted with the guys that were on parking lot duty. It's amazing how many teenage girls you can squeeze in a Porsche. And, that Porsche ran over the foot of Holly Herbert (on purpose), I was so proud of that one (she soooo deserved it). My little sisters, yah you know who you are, liked to hide in the back while I hit the town - I'm sure they heard an ear full.
What is my most embarrassing moment in HS?
I was always so worried about what I looked like or what people thought of me - I never put my self in a situation where I could have been embarrassed. I guess I do have 1 - I was walking through the parking lot being my cool self with all my cool friends and Shaun (yes, my present husband, not a friend at the time) drove by in his big truck and started talking to me through a loud speaker mounted on his hood. All I remember thinking was "SHUT UP".
Was I a Party Animal?
Ha, Ha, Ha - LOL! I could hold my own - Let's leave it at that because my Grandpa reads my blog.
Was I a nerd?
I was actually photographed for the Year Book for my fashion sense. I was pretty well rounded - I hung with the cheerleader/FB players as well as the cool dudes that drove the big trucks.
Did I get suspended or expelled?
No - Freak, the more I think about that, I seriously can't believe it. I had great parents who would NOT let me get that far gone . . . and the principal was my mom's uncle.
Sing the fight song?
No, not quite. I only attended a hand full of HS sports because I was either at dance or chasing those boys with the big trucks.
Who were my favorite teachers?
Probably Mr. Downs, he seemed to understand me - that was difficult to do. He had patience for me which made me want to do better. Before he would close his classroom door for class to begin, he would come out in the hall and wait for me to round the corner, late as usual.
Where did I sit for lunch?
Driving me and all my friends to Walkers for a DC with lemonade and junk food. Needless to say, the Orem Police knew me quite well because I was usually speeding and I never had enough seat belts for everyone - but they liked me so I never got a ticket. Kinda funny that I ended up marrying the Chief's son later.
Mascot? OHS TIGERS! Roar for Orem High!
Homecoming & with who?
I went one year - with Paul Peterson, Football Player, Babe, Tall, Handsome, LOOSER! He hit on me pretty heavy in the back seat on the way there, I was pretty cold the rest of the night. (I think I may have seen him jogging down the road the other day)
What do I remember about graduation?
The fact that I was there - period! Miracle in itself. So serious! Me and my family spent hours making up credits by doing packets. I think my parents knew how critical it was that I get that diploma, so again, they wouldn't let me fail. I was a sluffer - BAD! If I was more than a few minutes late, I just wouldn't go in. There were many times I would end up skipping the whole day and heading out of town with some friends.
Have I gained weight since then?
Gained it, lost it, gained it again, lost it, gained some more, lost it, etc, etc. I really had a GREAT figure in HS. Big boobs, tiny waist. Sad to think about!
Prom Date?
Someone who Pam Curtis set me up with - I seriously don't even remember his name. I don't think he said two words the whole night (very shy). I should have gone with someone from my school.
My advice for myself?
Please, please, please go to school - just be in class. Try to pay attention, care about your future. Don't be such a bitch to your family. Date many guys without being afraid - just be yourself!
I TAG ELLERY!
Maybe that will get her to update her blog!
