Air Supply - Guest Appearance!

Okay, I know many of you may be too young to understand the significance of this - but tonight at Savannah's performance in

Evolutions of Dance,

Graham Russel

of

AIR SUPPLY

made a guest appearance and sang

"I'm all out of love"

with his guitar. No, really. . . I'm not kidding!

Pretty cool, I must say!

Savannah was a little disturbed

because he interrupted the dance program.

Oh yah, Savannah did a good job too (I almost forgot).

Rick Robinson's MOVE!

Savannah was able to open for

Rick Robinson's production of MOVE!

They finished the show last night. AMAZING! Such a fun show - like nothing I have ever seen. Savannah thought she was in heaven. She was so excited to finally be on a stage again.

The stage was filled with fog and lights so when Savannah walked out on stage she thought there was a fire, but as a good dancer should, she continued out to her spot and did a FABULOUS job.

California! - Last Day But Not Least

Okay - I know ya'll are probably getting so sick of my Cal pics but this was our last couple of days there. After an argument with Shaun about whether to go to Six Flags or Disneyland, I won - as usual. He is as difficult as most children when they don't get their way.

This was New Years Eve. We knew we would see crowds but after many trips to Disneyland we are pros. We know where to go and at what time so there is little waiting in lines. When we arrived, Shaun and Bo went into California Adv. and Sav and I went into DL. She was very interested in seeing Pixie Hollow and TINK & her friends, of course. All Shaun and Bo wanted to do was ride Tower and Screamin over & over & over again. I just enjoy the atmosphere, parades, etc. That evening the park gave away party favors and hats for the festivities. There was live music and DJs all over and it was pretty WILD!

We had the opportunity to go to the beach a couple of times during our trip. This was honestly what the kids enjoyed the most but it so cold next to the water. Bo has been to the Ocean in Mexico many times but this was Savannah's first time at the beach. She stepped out into the tide just to get her toes wet and the wave knocked her right over. It was very cute.

California. . .Winding Down.

DAY FOUR - We hit the I-5 and headed for LA, bad time of the morning because we hit stop and go traffic the entire way. What should have taken us at the most 2 hours, ended up being about 3.
UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!
I remember going here with my family when I was young but it was nothing as I remembered. It was AWESOME! Such a great atmosphere, probably Bo & I's favorite. It was Grinchmas throughout Universal Studios so I knew there would be a sighting of the "green guy".

When we arrived the lines were outrageous! We were sooo sick of standing in line so Shaun decided to spoil us and bought the FRONT OF THE LINE pass. That probably saved us about 5 hours standing in lines. Anyone who knows Shaun well, knows that this was a huge thing for him to do - $$$. Thanks Shaun!

When Bo was about 3 yrs old, Grandma & Grandpa Jake decided to show him the movie Jaws! Ya, you heard me right. Nonetheless, right before our trip to Puerta Vallarta. Bo has absolutely NO FEAR, as most know, but he has this hidden fear of being in deep ocean water, hmmmm,

I can't imagine why. . .

Krustyland was a great ride. Unless, you ask Savannah. Scared the *(#@ out of her. Below, you have a pic of how excited we were before we went on the ride and then you have Shaun begging her to go on it again.

More California. . .

DAY THREE - LEGOLAND. Savannah was so excited for this day. She had been so sick the night before but thank goodness she began to feel better that morning. I was very surprised at how clean and fun this park was. Shaun and Bo also had a great time which was a little surprising because it's supposed to be for younger kids. It is amazing the see the things throughout the park that have been built with Legos. It was a warm day but that evening as the park was closing there was a wet mist or fog that rolled in and we were so cold we couldn't even stay for the fireworks.
But still a great day.






That night, we went to dinner at a true seafood restaurant. One of those where they have there own fishing boat and serve their fresh catch of the day.
It was at the end of the pier in San Diego next to the retired aircraft carrier.
Bo order a seafood pasta because he's not real fond of fish by itself. You should have seen his face when the waitress brought out his plate. She even asked him if he was okay because he looked so worried about what he was about to eat.

California continued. . .

DAY TWO - The San Diego Zoo! We had a great day at the zoo, nothing rushed, we just enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine. Savannah's favorite were the Flamingos (probably because they were pink). Savannah said they looked like ballerinas. My favorite - the Panda's. Bo's favorite - the Elephant's (powerful). Shaun's favorite - the Gorilla's.





Later that afternoon, we went to Mission Beach,
it was a little breezy, but still better than snow!
We found this cool hang-out called the Sand Box
where there was a lot of loud music (Bob Marley), lots of guys with dreadlocks, and the
FlowRider-BIG KAHUNA!





That night we went back to the hotel and CRASHED. . .only to have Savannah throw-up all night with a fever. Thank goodness it passed by morning and she felt fine.

Our trip to California. . .

DAY ONE - Shaun was given 10 days off during the holidays so off we went to spend time in the San Diego area. This was a very unplanned, unorganized vacation because we left the morning after Christmas Day. I couldn't do much planning for the trip because I was stressing about Christmas. But all turned out well.

After taking several wrong turns off the California freeways (thank you Shaun). . . we arrived at our hotel. Very nice hotel on Harbor Island right on the water in San Diego bay. It had it's own marina so it was fun to see all the fancy yachts. Each night at around midnight, the cruise ships would blow their horn and pull into the bay right in front of our hotel
(we could have done without the horn).



After we were settled, we enjoyed the nightlife in
Old Town, San Diego
and seen some of the sights.
We had a great mexican dinner and browsed for a while.

"Beer Me Now" was definately something that crossed my mind after a 10 hour drive with 2 kids arguing the whole way.
