Bo's ELEVEN

Happy Birthday to my little man.
He has turned 11! Here goes the next 10 years. I know they will probably be much more difficult than the first 10 - but if he is anything like he is now, he will make us soooo proud!

I remember the day Bo was born very well! July 18th, 1997 @ approx. 1100. I went in the day before for an NST and had no amniotic fluid left (my fluid level was 2). I was induced with 2 doses of prostin and Pitocin for about 24 hours. Bo's heart tones were not looking as good as they should have. Dr. Gamette then found that I had a prolapsed cord and rushed me back for a c/section. All was well. He was 6 lbs 7 oz and 19 1/2". Within hours he was holding his head up by himself and his arms and legs were moving constantly (he get's that from his dad). I remember how beautiful his eyes were and what a proud father Shaun was. I had to remind Shaun that I was the one who just went through hell and it was my turn to hold him.

He was full of energy when he was younger and we have had to keep him very entertained. He loves a challenge and is not afraid of anything. He is everything I could ever want in a SON! He is such a good example to his sister and such a huge help to me. He is my very BEST FRIEND! We talk about everything and I hope it always stays that way.

We love you!

Girls got SKILLS!

OK, OK, it was on the tramp but I thought that looked
pretty darn good.
Now we just need to perfect it from the ground. She was begging me to take her picture (with my new camera I might add).
As long as it's on her terms, she can do some things quite well!

Happy Anniversary!

Here's to the next 50 years!
Shaun and I are celebrating our 13th anniversary today, Sat. July 12, 2008. I married my BEST FRIEND and someone I knew would support & love me and our children forever. He is the greatest dad ever and he will stop at nothing to make sure our kids have everything they want but also teaches them to appreciate everything they are given, especially the "small stuff". He is the hardest worker I know of and the best handy man ever. I have never had to "hire" anything done because he takes care of it. I can honestly say I am the biggest pain and the most difficult human being to live with - but he does it. He understands me when no one else does but puts me in my place when necessary (gee, thanx). His humor always lightens the mood when things are tense, even though it's slightly annoying! We've matured and created a GREAT LIFE together. We learn to appreciate each other more & more with each new year.
1995 - Our engagement picture! (and, yes, that was the style - boots & all)
2008 - Bo & Savannah taken in the same location!

Finally. . .I figured it out

I have wanted to try to create my own layout and I finally figured out how. sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com gives you instruction but you have to have the patience to follow them carefully!

Bless America!

We had a great Independence Day!

Seeing Miley at the Stadium of Fire helped us forget about what had happened the day before. The kids had a great time and loved the FIREWORX!

Then we headed up to mom and dad's property to camp and it was beautiful! Purple flowers were everywhere.
How blessed are we to live in such a great place!
Where every season brings something new.
Bo hooked up with friends this weekend while we were up there so I hardly seen him. Savannah rode LolliPop (their Pony) quite a bit this weekend and her daddy didn't even have to use the lead rope very much.

Violated - everything GONE!

Shaun and the kids went camping this weekend (I worked). . .only to find the trailer had been broken into and everything taken, i.e. electronics, anything of value. Entry doors were ruined and need to be replaced. Shaun had a horrible feeling - like he was being watched. He feels like he may have scared them off. The Sherriff's department did a thorough investigation and found cigarette butts for DNA, tire tracks, and took lot's of pics. It makes me sick to think that a stranger entered our personal space - violated! I am so angry!

Many of Bo's things were taken and he said that he never want's anyone to ever feel the way he feels right now (that's my boy). This may have been a small teaching moment between Shaun and the kids.

As most of you know, Shaun has worked so hard to make this trailer feel like home and he takes much pride in it. I feel bad for him 'cause he has a lot of fixin' to do. The trailer is insured so hopefully this will help us out. What a great way to start the holiday weekend.

Hopefully Miley will lighten the mood tonight!
