Great Halloween Books!

Each year - for the holidays I try to buy a book for the kids and I usually right a little message on the inside to make it special. The messages are fun to look back at and read later.
Below are the books for this year.
One of course for Bo and the other for Sav.

The "Can You See" book is a little creepy but cool for older kids. You have to find a list of hidden pics within each picture.
The second pic kind of gives me the creeps!
The "Witch Who Was Afraid of Witches" was soooo appropriate for Savannah, afterall, she is a Witch this year but seriously is afraid of others who are dressed like a Witch.
This book has a darling story-line and illustrations.

Tagged by Tai

Oh my gosh - Whooo! Tai asked me to post the
4th pic in the 4th file folder
in my files on my computer.

Well, this was difficult because I had to go to the 4th pic,

within the 4th folder (Savannah_Hazen_2008),
within the 4th folder (2007_2008),
within the 4th folder (Framed_Professional_Photos).

This is what I ended with. It could have been worse, I'm glad it was a pic taken by someone who knew what they were doing. It's not the best Hazen pic but I'm crackin' up about that mischevious smile on her face.

Deer Hunt!

Warning: Some material may be too graphic for women viewers!

This deer hunt was the most pleasant weathered deer hunt we have been on in a long time. Shaun and Bo spent some quality time together. Bo hunts next year so it was necessary for Shaun to take the first buck they saw in order to teach him a thing or two about how to "Field Dress" a deer. . . or in our terms "Gut" a deer. Don't worry there are no pictures of that. Shaun also spent time teaching him how to saddle, tie up the horses, take care of your tack, etc. I think he just realized that Bo is growing up and there were some important things he needed to know.

When they returned that night, Bo said to me "Mom, do you know how much I love my dad?" That comment was proof that size doesn't matter (referring to antlers) and that just being father & son together in the outdoors is the most important.

This dog is asking for trouble!
This was one sad little girl, she didn't get near enough attention this weekend. Shaun is planning some kind of daddy/daughter date with her soon.

CORNBELLY'S

We had a great day today with all the Jacobson Cousins at Thanksgiving Point. It was such a warm beautiful Fall day, we didn't even need jackets. If you haven't been yet - you gotta go. They have the Scarecrow Festival at the South End and Cornbelly's at the North End. Lot's of fun things to do. I took so many cute pictures I had to post them all - sorry!

Savannah & Swayze as Farmer Jo & the Mrs. And Indy & Savannah dressed their very own princess scarecrow's.

Bo Cow Tipin' - with the Pumpkin Blaster & Corn Launcher - a MUST DO for all boys.

Savannah's Footlong Hot Dog!

Everybody, LOOK OUT! These two are back on a track again. . .and their competitiveness was still there. They were taking the corners on rails!
Savannah with the Pumpkin Princess - They also have Princess storytelling, but we missed it!

Yes - Bo on a motorcycle swing!

There is this "Wild Thing" monster that you can walk through. It is pitch black with scary noises. I thought it might be fun to take Indy & Savannah through it - big mistake! They screamed the entire way.

Cow Train, of course! Heather just had to go - it's her favorite.

What a cute Family!

Halloween Fun!

It was Party Time at my mom & dad's house on Saturday. They went to so much effort to throw a party for all the grandkids. They decorated the shop - went way overboard but it couldn't have been more fun. I hope they continue this every year
(hint, hint).

Witchy Poo & Skeleton Zombie!

Bo had fun ScARinG everyone (including himself when he first looked in the mirror) and Savannah loved her fake
PuRPle GlitTEr EyeLaSHes.

Grandma Jake had stemware with EyeBaLLs set in red jell-o, WitChEs BreW with dried-ice, and more.
We bobbed for ApPleS and had a DoNUt-on-a-string eating contest, a cotton-ball relay and played musical gords.

Great Ideas, Great Party!
Thanks Mom & Dad!

Knock You Out!

With it being a rainy conference weekend, by Sunday night we were all getting a little restless.
The sad thing is . . . Shaun started it.

DEFEATED!
Shaun finally gave up - it was either that or he was really gonna get hurt.
Bo was holding nothing back.
It kind of scared me there for a minute.
