The Mountain (Home Away From Home)

Just because summer break is over, it doesn't mean that everything must end. We still have at least another month of warm weather (I hope). But, this was probably our last weekend we will see the beautiful wild flowers on the mountain so I had to capture natures beauty. Next time we go, we will probably see the changing colors of FALL! It was breathtaking. Spring brought sheets of purple flowers and now we have sheets of yellow.

Take a look. . .

This is the view from directly outside our trailer door.

Dee Gurney an old friend of Shaun's joined us with his two kids JAKE and AMANDA. It was fun to spend time with them, we don't see them very often.

We also did a little TARGET SHOOTING!

Might I add. . . the Diet Coke can was the
LAST ONE STANDING! Go DC!

Tender Moments!

These moments don't happen very often and will probably happen less & less as they get older so I had to get a pic. Thought I would share. There are moments when Bo can tolerate a lot from Savannah and this is one of them. He doesn't dare move (probably because he finally has some peace & quiet). Bo's face says it all.

This was at 11:00 am and she's OUT!
( she woke up with Shaun this morning at 6:15).

City Celebration!

We had a fun weekend!

Saturday we went to the Parade, it lasted all of 10 minutes (JK). They also had a carnival. Very small town, but that's how we like it. My Uncle Jim is our Mayor Jim Dain. It is fun to see him at work and all the wonderful things he is doing for the City. The tunnell under State St. is a great way to unite East and West and we are anxiously awaiting the Swimming Pool. We even have our very own police force now and a trail system that will run throughout the town.

Love living here.

as he walked down the parade route.

Bo was also in the parade - #81 - with Vikings Youth Football. Swayze went wild for him, he was flattered but a little embarrased.

GO VIKINGS!

The carnival had a
Bull Ride
Rock Climbing and
Home Depot crafts.

Wind River, Wyoming - Pack Trip

Giddie Up!

What a great trip for Shaun and Bo. After they arrived home I asked Bo to hop in the shower and he said, "Dad didn't tell me to do anything on this trip and the first 5 minutes I'm home -you're bossing me around". Gee - I missed you too Bo. I guess that's just the mother in me - knowing the only water that touched his skin for 6 days was LAKE water. This is something I would love to do with them someday - when Savannah gets a little older.

Shaun said the scenery was amazing and even Bo mentioned many times how beautiful it was. I'm glad he took some time to appreciate the surroundings. This is an area that not many people get to see.
My Two Leading Men!

My Little Cowboy! - minus the cowboy hat & chaps - He wore his Fox Racing hat instead! All I can say to that is, "I'm glad he's well-rounded".
They all spent a ton of time fishing each day. Not big fish but all the lakes were plentiful! Bo said, at one point, he had caught 15 fish in 30 minutes. Bo had so much fun with Dawson, Duncan & Selby - Great Kids!
Long road home, lot's of PSP games, and He's OUT!

Here we go again!

Yesterday, it was Savannah's first day of class on Petite Company at The Vibe. They will work on choreography the entire month of August. Alexis will be a great teacher but I think Savannah is having Bethany withdrawals. She's already making lot's of friends and I think (hope) she will enjoy it. She can definately Shake Her Groove Thing and I hope that's what she does this year.

And Yes. . . I thought she was the cutest thing in the class. . . but also the BIGGEST PAIN in the BUTT! Good Luck Alexis! You may need some tips from your sis on how to handle this one.

Mommy-Daughter DATE!

Savannah and I went school shopping today and went to see
Mamma Mia!
It was such a cute show - Savannah just loved all the music and dancing. It was fun to spend time alone with my girl! We need to do this more often.
