Dance Competition. . .here we go again!

Savannah had a dance competition this weekend and we had a great time. We enjoyed watching all her friends do their extra numbers on Friday,
GOOD JOB GIRLS!
She regrets not doing a solo as we had planned, but she'll be there next year!

She competed two numbers,
"Mama, I'm a big girl now" &
"Big -n- Chunky"
. . . both were adorable and won FIRST PLACE.
I think "Gloria" the Hippo (from Big -n- Chunky) actually stole the show and got quite the hoorah from the crowd.

"I like 'em Chunky. . .Chunky, Chunky
Plumpy. . .Plumpy, Plumpy" !!!

So much drama. . .

Savannah lost her first tooth last night and you would have thought the world had come to an end.
She knew it was loose and it was coming out soon. It was hanging by a thread so Shaun thought he would help out. She wasn't prepared for what came next . . .Shaun snuck these small needle nose pliers into her mouth and yanked! She was looking up at the cieling and had no idea. Bo thought it was the funniest thing ever. Then came the blood and that was the end of our peaceful evening.

New "DO"

Savannah has been wanting to wear her hair curly so we have experimented with curling irons and I decided that took way too much time. I went to Sally's and bought some FUNKY rollers. They worked great!

Romantic Dinner - WITHOUT CHILDREN!

Mom and Dad created the most elegant dinner for their grown children, without kids.. This was as close to romantic as Shaun will get. They prepared and served a beautiful dinner. They do this once each year and it is something we all look forward to. During this time we each bring our own annual family history to share. These are sometimes emotional and other times funny as heck! They are hillarious to look back at and remember all our family has endured.

Savannah has really enjoyed writing her name on all her valentines to give to her friends. She made sure that teachers weren't left out. Every holiday is extra special to her.

Happy Valentines Day!

25 Random "Cori Quirks"

I may not get to 25 but I will try. . .

2. I waste my mornings when I could be getting so much done.
3. I love reality TV shows. No one is allowed to bother me while watching them.
4. I often sit for hours wondering how to improve the look of my home and how to convince Shaun that it is necessary.
5. I love DisneyLand.
6. I let myself go and I make sure my kids look perfect at all times.
7. I refuse to laugh at my husbands humor because if I did, it would give him more incentive to try to be funny.
8. I hate hard water spots on sinks and faucets.
9. I have anxiety when I think of what might be under or behind my appliances.
10. I hate walking in the bathroom with bare feet (even though the floor is clean).
11. I can't stand the thought of my kids dropping their toothbrush on the floor and then brushing with it.
12. I wipe down door handles in our home at least every other day.
13. Slobber on pillow cases makes me sick.
14. I love the smell of rain or wet dirt (it actually smells clean to me).
15. I love to see snow fall from the sky.
16. I love competition, anything extreme.
17. I bite my nails, and pull my eye lashes.
18. I use Huggies Baby Wipes for many things, especially cleaning shoes.
19. When I am asked to do something I always go overboard and never half-ass it.
20. I am a schedule freak and follow instructions perfectly. I get frustrated when others don't.
21. I am a horrible backseat driver - Poor Shaun.
22. I swear (It's been a bad habit since I was a kid).
23. I am a list maker - for myself and my husband.
24. I procrastinate doing things I hate to do - hence, the laundry pile in my room.

Tearin' It Up. . .

Shaun, Bo & Ashley did some shredding last night at Brighton. . .Bo is quite the grommet, they had a sick session on the slopes. Shaun rode fakie while taking pics and video & left a huge yardsale all over the slope (more than once), but no serious craters - thank goodness. Bo straightlines because that's the aggro thing to do, but Ashley is a serious carver.

I thought this old video I found was so cute. Bo is so critical of himself when he makes a mistake & Shaun loves to tease him, it makes him so mad.
